Grace for the Grieving A Compilation from a Grief Group

Grief Support…

Grace for the Grieving is an insightful compilation for the bereaved person as well as those who support the grieving. It is filled with personal stories and experiences of people in various phases of grief and how they walked through the different challenges affecting them: the loss, the fear, the pain, the anger and its eventual progression to understanding, acceptance, hope, and moving forward.

Navigating through the uncharted waters of grief is a daunting task for a heart that is broken. It is painful, overwhelming, and lonely. God’s grace is available to us during this season even when we find ourselves angry, despondent, or doubting His love. God is the one who offers us grace in the midst of all our circumstances--true grace that is constant and unconditional in love. Each chapter of Grace for the Grieving offers hope to those directly suffering from losing their loved one, as well as grace for those indirectly affected. With Christian scripture at its core, this book gives readers and groups a wide array of topics and resources to help sort out the emotions and pain that comes from losing someone.

About the Authors…

The eight contributors of Grace for the Grieving, all live in small neighboring communities in northwestern Wisconsin. When their journey began, some were acquaintances, others, strangers. But through the grace of God, the common thread of loss, a support group, and friendships were born.

The dynamics of the group were both diverse and endearing as they shared their pain and tears with one another. When the study ended, they continued to meet monthly for over a year discussing the topics surrounding grief. They decided to write and share their own personal stories to help others. This book is a compilation of how they rode the emotional ebbs and flows that comes from losing someone you love.

Eventually through the ashes of their loss came something beautiful—friendship, healing, and Grace for the Grieving.
